The descriptions of Nibiru and it’s orbit given by Zecharia Sitchin that are pertinent to this discussion can be found in Chapter 2 of Genesis Revisited, called “It Came From Outer Space”. Here are some quotes from that chapter that corroborate the theory that Nibiru was massive, and had a system of satellites, big enough themselves to be seen from Earth when Nibiru is in our skies.
“Nibiru itself was a site to behold; alluring, sparkling, lofty, lordly are some of the adjectives used to describe it.”
Clearly Nibiru is no ordinary planet.
It might have arrived with
its own satellites already orbiting it, or it might have acquired some
as a result of its gravitational pull of the outer planets. The ancient
text speaks of its "perfect members…"
difficult to perceive- “four
were his eyes, four were his ears”.
“At the same time we learn from a later passage in the ancient text that Nibiru/Marduk himself gained three satellites as a result of this encounter [with Uranus]”
“…collision between the incoming Nibiru/Marduk with its seven satellites and Tiamat and its host of 11 satellites headed by Kingu”
These references to satellites denote a planetary system belonging to Nibiru. The inclusion of Kingu, later to become our Moon, shows that the Satellites can be planet-sized. If they were small moons, then we would not be able to see them from Earth, which the first reference alludes to. That is, they are difficult to perceive, but nevertheless visible. The Galilean moons of Jupiter are invisible to the naked eye, so at least 8 of Nibiru’s satellites are bigger than them. So Nibiru must be at least gas giant sized. Nibiru is, therefore, not a terrestrial sized planet.
“The invading planet had
other “weapons” too:
In front of him
he set the lightning,
With a blazing
flame he filled his body;
He then made a
net to enfold Tiamat therein…
A fearsome halo
his head was turbaned,
He was wrapped
with awesome terror as with a cloak.”
This is a perfect description of a brown dwarf as we understand them. The atmosphere of the planet is a raging inferno, spilling out flares and lightning-like light energy. Then there is its halo-like corona lighting up its satellites to give the impression of a net.
Here are references for the October 1999 news story that I think described the potential discovery of Nibiru. This was quite a low-key story at the time, it will be far bigger if the story can be confirmed by a direct sighting of the brown dwarf. Note that the orbital periods alluded to are assuming a circular, rather than a comet-like orbit.

Regarding the last two fly-bys by Nibiru, here is Sitchin in his book “The Lost Realms”, page 268;
Contrary to the common assumption that the Jewish count of years (5,748 in 1988) is from the “beginning of the world”, it is actually from the beginning of the Nipprian calendar in 3760 B.C.- the time, we assume, of Anu’s state visit to Earth.
But it can mean both if one assumes that the gods left the Earth upon this visit of Nibiru. Clearly this then denotes the start of the world without the gods. It also gives us a date for Nibiru’s passage through the Solar System, which means it next passed in 160 B.C. There is no record of this, even by the Chinese. So 3600 years can only be an approximation. After all, who’s going to miss a goddamn failed star moving through the skies? The only reference to such a celestial body at that point in history is the Star of Bethlehem.
The three Wise Men weren’t literally following this star like it was a moving atmospheric light, they were followers of the religion regarding that star, and enacting ancient instructions regarding the prophecy of a Messiah left us by the Annunaki. The strength of this ancient prophecy can be seen by the murderous acts of Herod as Nibiru appeared…The Jewish religion was waiting for the Annunaki to re-establish Kingship on Earth through the Messiah, thereby overthrowing the then dominance of the Romans. But the actual message from Christ was entirely different, causing the dismayed local communities to reject him. This failure by the gods to re-emerge in world politics caused the subsequent rise of mono-theism. Their next return is in about 1750 years time, which gives us plenty of time to get ready!
